Independent Whales Map

In nature, real whales do not always live in groups. Grown male whales usually travel alone, while mature females and young whales stay in pods. The whale sculptures in the Whale Trail includes many whales who are not close enough to other whales to be grouped into a pod. You can spot many of these as you go from pod to pod, though getting to the whale in Nantucket might require some planning. Don't forget to get out of your car and take a picture!
